PhD student Friederike Clever 2nd place in poster contest!

Congratulations to our PhD student Friederike Clever who has received the Merian Award for best poster in 2nd place at the European Conference of Tropical Ecology 2017 last week in Brussels.

The Merian Awards were established by the Society for Tropical Ecology (gtoe) for the best contributions given by young scientists during the annual meeting. For her study Local and Regional Differences in Fish Community Structure, Friederike used geomorphology and functional metrics to detect differences in fish diversity between three atolls that are centres of high biodiversity and endemism and as such an important part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System.
