I am interested in the community genetics of the red mangrove (Rhizophora mangle) within the Caribbean to promote effective management of these important ecosystems. Part of my work focuses on root fouling communities and the role of mangrove root habitats as nursery grounds for ecologically and commercially important fish species.

My previous experience includes seven years of working in Honduras promoting effective management of the countries marine resources, this work focused on fisheries and coral reef ecology.
