More trips to Ecuador

Undergraduate students Abhiraj Chakraborty and Thomas O'Shea are heading to Ecuador for the first time to begin their placements at the Timburi Cocha Research Station, where they will be helping to maintain the station and conducting their own research projects in the rainforest for the next six months. PhD student Xaali O'Reilly Berkeley is also off to Ecuador again, this time to continue work on microbial samples from epiphytic bromeliads collected last summer. She will be working in the laboratories of the Universidad de las Américas, Quito, in what we hope will be the first of many productive collaborations with this university in the north of the Ecuadorian capital.
