My research focuses on conservation in the neotropics, particularly that of primate species that share their habitats with indigenous communities whose livelihoods still depend on the forest. I am based at the Timburi Cocha research station in the Ecuadorian Amazon, and work closely with the surrounding communities to survey primate populations and understand current attitudes towards bushmeat, the pet trade, and the advantages and limitations of living in or near protected areas.
